Oh so fresh
First sketch is just crap. Was paying more attention to the TV than the sketchbook. Macgyver was on.

I'm feeling much better now after my rough weekend. It's not a mistake I'm likely to forget any time soon.

I'm not going out to vote today. I'm excersizing my right not to vote. No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't get myself interested in one candidate over the other. I honestly just don't care. I think that George Bush is a terrible public speaker, and he makes himself look stupid, but that doesn't automatically mean he's a bad president, nor does that automatically mean that Kerry would be a better president. I honestly don't trust what either politician says, and if anyone thinks that the news, candidate commercials, or even documentaries like Fahrenheit 911 are any more honest than the candidates themselves, then they are just as stupid as George Bush looks. That being said, this is the end of the discussion. The first person who turns my livejournal into a political debate will be banned permanantly. I don't care if you think I should vote, and I really don't care which candidate you prefer or why.

Some new t-shirts should be going up for pre-order today, some designs which I finally finished last night. The character shirts were giving me trouble. The original character shirts have been discontinued for months now. I printed up new versions, which were never sold online. I sold them at conventions. They sold pretty well, but I was never 100% satisfied with how they looked. Last night I finally hit on a layout that I'm happy with, and everyone who has seen it has really liked it. So I'm going to start with the Ethan and Lucas designs, and add the other characters as time goes on. Here's a preview:

Definitely skipping Nekocon this weekend, which sort of sucks, but overall is the best route. I should (fingers crossed) be able to get the rest of the Chef Brian shirts and books shipped before Saturday 14th, which is when we're having our Halo 2 party here. After the party, hopefully I can spend the week working on comics, and maybe take the following week as a vacation. If I went to Nekocon I wouldn't get my vacation until December.

Here's hoping.

I dont really have much more to say than that was very well put. I also am excersizing my right not to vote.

Have fun at your halo 2 party...sounds like a lot of fun :)

Suggestion for the shirts: rather than having Ethan and Lucas completely over the logo, have the outer 'ring' (I guess) cover them -- or rather, cover the bottom of them. If you don't get what I mean I guess I can edit it in Photoshop real quick, but you ought to be able to figure this message out.

I don't think I can count how many times I'd be flipping through channels and ended up watching MacGyver. It's addicting.

That second drawing... well, the thought it brought to mind was that episode of "That 70's Show" where they were sitting around the 'stoner circle' and Donna said "My hands are HUGE!!!"

Congrats on living through your weekend. And learning a big lesson.

And hey... vote... don't vote. Whatever. It's your decision. I'm not your mother.

I agree with the above post. Voting in elections is just not about the candidates, it's about strengthening the force of the American people. I won't say much more about it because you obviously don't want to hear it, but I do urge you to reconsider. At least a third party candadite (Green, Independent), just something that you feel that the country could be improved or stay the same.

I mean, yes, you have the right to do what you want, but "exercising the right not to vote" rubs me the wrong way. It basically means that you are happy to just sit back and let people make decisions for you without caring what you want.

Just remember, it's a lot more than juse chooosing the next president (although that does seem to be in center ring), this is going to effect what happens to America for the next few generations. This is history.

I say this not to make you mad, but just to make sure you won't regret not doing it down the road.

You're that desperate to finally beat me in Halo that you're going to break my thumbs to do it? Natural gamer abilities flow through my non-gamer veins!

On the subject of voting, I agree. I read this post before I went to vote, and wrote in "Ted the Penguin" out of boredom and hatred for both parties. He's best suited for this country, in my opinion.

Hear hear... I didn't complete my voter registration and all I've been hearing from everyone around me for the last 2 days is "Are you gonna vote? Make sure you vote! It's important that you vote! Did you vote yet?" I don't like or trust either candidate and have no real reason to pick one over the other... why should I pretend? If I did vote, it would basically only be to appease the people around me who keep hounding me about it and what kind of reason is that?

People gotta chill out a little... enough with all the up-in-your-face-ness. Just leave us alone. If we didn't vote, we have our reasons. Just like you have your reasons TO vote.

I'm so glad that I'm not alone in this.

Like Matt, I really don't care for either of the canidates. I've been telling the people that I work with that I like to cheer on the underdog, so I'd prolly throw my vote away on Nadar...

In my opinion the important thing is that you voice your opinion, not whether you vote. I have respect for someone who doesn't vote because they honestly don't like either candidate.

On a non political note, I love the shirts! I definitely share Ethan's sentiments. Keep up the great work!
